Hair Transplant remedies and women

It is expected that more than 21 million women in America are presently suffering from the effects of hair loss... What are available hair transplant options for women? Mostly hair loss and Alopecia are very devastating conditions in any shape. Patients always are ready to go under any therapy or treatment. Hair Transplant is perfect for men but there are sad news that majority of woman can’t go undergo such therapies so is it even viable for women to think about hair transplant?

What refrain women to go through hair transplant?
It is rarely seen that a woman got hair with hair transplant or even undergo such therapy. Reason is the difference between human body of men and women. For a hair transplant, a good donor site is required and men have plenty of them. In fact men always loose hair patches on the top and from of the head. On the other hand, women being affected by diffuse hair loss all over the head. The perfect donor site is untouched by the effects of baldness and unfortunately most women do not have any such areas.
Dihydrotestosterone or DHT is the hormone which is the biggest cause for hair loss and unfortunately it resides in all follicles of women. Due to this reason, most potential donor areas are not stable. No hair transplant can prevent transfer of DHT from donor areas.

Possibilities of women hair transplant
In presence of all the discrepancies for hair transplant, there 3-5% women who still are perfect for a hair transplant. It is based on the nature of the decease which is the cause of massive hair loss. There are two types of alopecia, alopecia areata and androgenetic alopecia.
In alopecia areata, the immune system is to blame for hair loss rather than hormones. Also, those who suffer from hair loss due to trauma such as a chemical burn, car accident or fire make perfect candidates for a hair transplant for women.
There are several medications that can assist with hair loss together with Rogaine and antiandrogens for hormonal cases. Hair loss can also be momentary and a hair transplant may be needless. A hair transplant for women is unluckily not a feasible alternative for most and those that are suitable should discover all their other options with a doctor first. Going under the blade should always be the last option.
Furthermore, there is a hope that in next decade development and research would enable women with scars on their head to receive special hair transplants that are very different from the sort normally received by men.
